The radiant cut diamond was first created in 1977 by Henry Grossbard and it has elements of both the emerald cut and the round brilliant cut. It allows the light to be reflected in the most wonderful ways and gives the diamond a distinctive, elegant look. Radiant cut diamonds are most often used for pendant and ring settings. When buying a radiant cut diamond, it is advisable to buy a stone with the highest possible clarity rating you can afford, as it will look much better when reflecting light.
