There are many reasons why you may be considering buying your loved one an eternity ring. This may be to commemorate a birthday, or anniversary for example.

In many ways there is an eclectic range of reasons which may be used in order to provide the foundations for the ring to be presented. However, the one factor which bonds all these together is a shared love which has been active for a long period of time.

Yet, there is one reason which some people use for presenting an eternity band which we would not recommend and that is guilt. Some people feel that after an argument, or after being confronted about their misdemeanours that they can compensate their partner for this with such a lavish gift.

Under no circumstances would we advise this to be the best course of action. If your partner is emotionally scarred then the last thing which they will want is for you to seem like you are trying to buy your way back into their affections.

A much better idea would be to sit down and discuss the situation and leave the gift until this has been rectified. This way, it will not look like anything which it isn’t and will exemplify the solemn nature of the ring and all the symbolism which it exemplifies.
