Many people face a dilemma regarding their wedding ring when going out to play certain sports. Most commonly, swimming does present people with the most complex of questions. They are worried that because the ring will be submerged under water for a fairly long period of time that this will damage it visually.

Whilst this is true in many cases, it may be that it is not true for all. It is therefore important that you check what effect swimming with your wedding ring on will have on the item itself.

However, even if you are certain that this will not bring you precious ring into any visual harm, you do also have to remember one other important factor. That is, swimming with your ring on may loosen it and slide it away from your finger without you even noticing. Therefore we would advise that if you are any doubt whatsoever about the safety of your ring then do not take it with you.

Either lock this away in the lockers provided at your local pool, or if you are concerned with the safety of these, then store safely at home. Make sure that you are one hundred percent confident that your ring is safe and away from danger before stepping in the pool – that way you can forget about it and enjoy your swim!
