Expensive rings are not always the best option

Many people assume that the more money you have in the bank, then the more elaborate your engagement ring will be. Some people even make a point of researching their favourite celebrity and determining the sort of ring which they wear in order to copy their design and styles.

However, you may be surprised to hear that more and more of the world’s richest people are moving away from the most expensive rings. As an example of this Marcia Cross, who rose to stardom on the TV series Desperate Housewives is the proud owner of a simple one carat solitaire ring. This is a fairly standard prong setting and embodies a Tiffany wedding band. In terms of how elaborate the ring is then one must conclude that is fairly standard.

What you have to remember is that by spending more money on your wedding ring or engagement ring, then the symbolism of it will not increase – only the price tag will. It is obviously fundamentally important that you like the ring and it is comfortable to wear, however, we would not advise spending excessive amounts of money purely on the assumption that it will somehow mean more to you.
