Eternity band popularity stems from the fact that they are not compulsory
by Rob ~ June 11th, 2008. Filed under: News.More and more people are now investing in eternity bands in order to reconfirm their devotion to each other. This usually comes quite a while after the initial wedding – much of the time running into decades later.
It is important to point out that even if you decide to formally renew your wedding vows, then there is still no obligation for an additional ring to be presented. Essentially by renewing your wedding vows, you are confirming the commitment highlighted within the wedding ring. Everything which is declared at your wedding is symbolised within the ring and nothing will ever dilute or change that.
However, for people who have experienced particularly tough times, or wishing to acknowledge the fact that their commitment has never wained over a vast amount of time, then the eternity band can be a very precious addition.
The important thing to remember is that you are not compelled to purchase this item and it may be worth talking this through with your partner before investing in it. This is particularly true if finances are stretched. However, due to the fact that eternity rings are not compulsory, this does give them an added significance and one which makes them so popular today.
