Do not recycle your rings

It is a sad fact that many people have suffered broken engagements and even broken marriages. This can result from a variety if factors which are unique to the couple in question and is often emotionally stressful for both parties.

In this situation, it is usual for the rings to be returned to the person who bought them, or in the case of heirloom rings returned to the original owner.

However many people are then slightly confused in terms of what to do with the wedding rings and engagement ring. One of the most common actions is to pawn the rings and thus they will not be in your possession to remind you of potentially hurtful memories.

One thing which under no circumstances would we advise doing is to pass these rings on to future partners. This, really is the height of insensitivity, and is something which your new partner will not value to the same extent as a ring which totally encompasses your relationship solely.

Even if you feel that your new partner will never find out that the rings have been used before, there is always the possibility of this happening and deep down you will always know where they have come from. For your own piece of mind, and out of respect for your new partner, we would strongly recommend that you do not recycle old engagement rings and wedding rings.
