Complex or simple designs?
by Rob ~ August 11th, 2008. Filed under: Engagement Rings. There is an eclectic range of diamond engagement rings on the market obviously which vary in design size and price. In this article we want to set the record straight about one common misconception which many people have and in particular people who are buying for their loved one alone.
Many people assume that the more complex the design is then the more valuable the ring will be and therefore the more it will be appreciated. Whilst this may be the case if the carat level is higher, do not think that you have to opt for a ring which is visually more complex than another.
Sometimes beauty can be exemplified within simplicity itself and you should bear this in mind when considering which ring is right for you. It is certainly true that the ring will not hold any enhanced symbolism if the design is a complex one and you should really try to mark this characteristic in the back of your mind. Choose the ring which you feel your partner will value and cherish and do not make your judgement solely on which design seems the most expensive or valuable.
The ring will be of great emotional and symbolic value to your partner whatever your choice. Do not compromise this therefore by assuming that a complex design will mean more than a simpler one if this is what suits your partner better.
