Characteristics of the three stone ring

As previously discussed, the three stone ring is perhaps the ultimate representation of your lasting commitment to your partner.

In terms of the characteristics of these very special rings, it is common that all three of the stones are roughly the same size and therefore act within perfect symmetry. Sometimes, the central stone, which is said to represent the present, is slightly larger than the other two to emphasise the devotion which you currently have for your loved one.

This is one of the fundamental differences between the three stone ring and the engagement ring, as the latter tends to have two noticeably smaller stones either side of the larger central one. Three stone rings commonly have a greater carat weight than solitaire designs due to the fact that if the stones are excessively small, then the can be mistaken as pave or channel setting.

As always, if you are considering purchasing a three stone ring, then do make sure that you do your research and read through further articles on this site concerned with purchasing diamonds and the care of them.
