Description: Experience a sensation of subliminal shimmer with this pretty ceramic necklace from Kazuri. Made up of a series of coin-like discs. Kazuri meaning ‘small and beautiful’ in Swahili aptly lends its name to the ceramic jewellery made by local women in Nairobi Kenya. Founded in 1975 Kazuri jewellery began as a small ceramic workshop that helped struggling single mothers make a living. Today the workshop has grown and employs 300 local women who shape and paint the beads by hand making them into colourful necklaces and bracelets. The result is unique Fairly Traded jewellery that reflects the quirks and trademarks of the special women that make them.
